Barriers for pallet racking

In almost all types of warehouses, the end of the runs of racking are where most of the serious impacts occur because of their exposed position.

To further complicate the situation, pallets are often stored close to the ends of the runs. This then leads to higher activity and more congestion in this area.

Fork lift trucks often catch the front post and bracing of the exposed frame when they pick up or drop the pallets. If this happens, not only is the driver at risk of major collapse, but those employees and product in the aisle are innocently exposed to higher risk of racking collapse or product spillage.

Our heavy duty end of row barriers address the risk and are designed with strength at the end to properly protect the end frame from this type of fork lift truck impact.

The barriers are available in different designs and widths to suit the racking dimensions.

To minimise the effect of further space restriction in cross aisles we offer the “slimline” version where the heavy duty footplate is designed to be inset into the racking frame; often saving up to 200mm on a typical aisle.

Barriers are finished in wet paint as standard, with epoxy powder coat and galvanising available at additional cost.
